said Ayse Oge, trade consultant with Los Angeles-based Ultimate Trade, who
notes that Central American consumers are desperate for U.S. goods.

Oge, who is the lead volunteer in organizing VITA breakfasts, the full use of
technology-primarily Web sites- is important if firms want to grow their
export business and/or begin it from scratch. “Size is not important because
technology has caused the marketing price to go down” Oge said. “Small
business has an advantage because they are not cluttered by bureaucracy”.

much appetite in world demand for American products”.

first-ever summit of women business leaders from California and Mexico is
scheduled today. “It will help familiarize businesswomen with every aspect of
dealing with international business. Before plunging into international
business, owners (should) research who the key players are, the regulations
and ways to market products internationally” said Ayse Oge, keynote speaker.
Oge also wrote “Go Global to Win” and is a Senior Consultant for international
trade at the Long Beach City College. As the numbers of female business
owner’s increase, especially in the small to midsize sector, it is important
to note the financial opportunities of expanding into an international market,
said Oge. Simple things like setting up a company. Web site will immediately
open up exposure to the market, she said.
